Lead Class Representative – Email Communication
Active member of KSH PTO Board of Directors

Duties:

• Attend all Board of Director meetings in accordance with schedule provided by KSH PTO Executive Committee.
• In addition to service on the Board of Directors, each Director shall serve on at least one of the following committees: School Store, Grants & Recipients, Scholarship, Parent Ohana Night, Communication & Technology or Fundraising.
• Keep the Class Families/‘Ohana informed of the activities of their class as well as share any K-12 events or fundraising.
• Attend all scheduled KSH PTO events; especially Parent ‘Ohana Night and Annual Ho‘olaule‘a.
• Actively solicit within your class at least one KSH Parent not currently involved in volunteering.
• Communicate with Class families via individual FaceBook Private Group.
• Minimum monthly updates and upcoming events/activities to your class.
• Communicate with Class Teachers, Advisors or SAC – Student Activity Coordinators to assist when needed.


Lead Class Ho‘olaule‘a Representative – Communication
Active member of KSH PTO Ho’olaule’a sub-committee

Duties:

• Attend all KSH PTO Ho‘olaule‘a planning meeting in accordance with schedule provided by KSH PTO Executive Committee and/or Ho‘olaule‘a chairperson(s)
• Keep the Lead Class Representative informed of all upcoming details and deadlines associated with Ho‘olaule‘a event.
• Attend all scheduled sub-committee meetings associated with specific Class Responsibilities/Kuleana
• Attend the event wrap-up meeting following the event and provide feedback and input from Class Responsibilities/Kuleana.
• Encouraged to attend all KSH PTO events & activities especially Parent ‘Ohana Night and Annual Ho‘olaule‘a.


KSH PTO Communication & Technology Committee

Duties:

• Newsletter – Organizing and finalizing content for KSH PTO newsletter to submit & provide to all campuses for insert & disbursement to KSH families.
• Website – Maintain updated content on KSH PTO website to include contact information, school store schedules and blank request forms. It shall also provide & share photos and summary reports from past & present grant recipients.
• Facebook – Maintain updated content for “sharing” and communicating to our KSH families K-12.
• Assist in promoting events including but not limited to K-12 school fundraisers, Parent ‘Ohana Night/General membership meetings and Annual Ho‘olaule‘a event.
• Report your findings/suggestions to full board for update and voting if required.
• Create new and/or maintain KSHPTO.org emails and FaceBook groups for Class Representatives.
• Assist with Communication/Marketing for the Annual Ho‘olaule‘a event.
• Attend any/all scheduled sub-committee meetings.


KSH PTO Grant Request Recipients & Give-Back Committee

Duties:

• Collaborate with KSH PTO Treasurer/Budget & Finance committee to follow up on signed Grant request form.
• Input into database/tracking system to follow up on recipients Award, Date of event and Give-Back (both Ho‘olaule‘a & Parent ‘Ohana Night or School Store.
• Communicate with Coach/Advisor on scheduled Give-Back for Club/Team
• Follow up with Coach/Advisor on follow up receipts and summary to include authorization and use of photos in various forms of KSH PTO media and marketing such as website, FaceBook and print.
• Provide updated report for monthly KSH PTO Board of Directors meeting with Club/Team status.
• Attend any and all sub-committee meetings as scheduled.


KSH PTO Scholarship Committee

Duties:

• Attend any and all sub-committee meetings to discuss and review the applications for processing.
• Collaborate with KAPF in awarding KSH PTO scholarship grant to graduating seniors.
• Must be an active KSH PTO Board of Director member for that school year.
• Members of this committee must NOT have children in grade 12.
• Committee will represent KSH PTO to present awards to recipients at annual awards ceremony.
• Report your findings/suggestions to full board for update and voting if required.
• Provide list of scholarship recipients to KSH PTO Board of Directors for inclusion of all media especially Parent ‘Ohana Nights and Website.
• Must abide by all KAPF rules and guidelines with regard to confidentiality of all applicants.


KSH PTO Parent ‘Ohana Night/Annual General membership meeting

Duties:

• Plan meetings for year (guest speakers, use of student performers, parent workshops/speakers).
• Get creative on increasing attendance to these meetings.
• Work with KSH PTO Executive Committee to establish agenda for meetings.
• Communicate with KSH PTO Executive Committee necessary details for FUR | TMA requests for the KSH Campus facilities within 2 weeks of scheduled events.
• Report your findings/suggestions to KSH Board of Directors for update and voting if required.
• Attend any and all sub-committee meetings as scheduled.


KSH PTO School Store Committee

Duties:

• A core group of committed, reliable volunteers to man the store (inclusive but not limited to creating volunteer manpower schedule, stocking, pricing, ordering, inventory)
• Work with grade level representatives in soliciting volunteer help to assist during open store hours throughout school year
• Work with the KSH PTO Executive Committee as they establish fiscal policies and procedures
• Report your findings/suggestions to KSH PTO Board of Directors for update and voting if required
• Assist with set-up/break down during scheduled KSH PTO K-12 events for School Store
• Attend any and all sub-committee meetings as scheduled.
