Kokua Always Welcome: 2014-2015 PTO Representive(s)

Aloha,

It’s that time again to create the incoming PTO Board of Directors for school year 2014-2015. Although we encourage our current members to return, we are always looking for new parent volunteers to assist in providing education, update and reminders to our class families.
As PTO continues to grow, this upcoming year we are encouraging at least 2 Parent volunteers for each grade level. One to handle the email communication and attend the monthly PTO Full Board meetings; and the other parent volunteer to take the lead for Ho`olaule`a by attending the monthly meetings and providing content for the lead rep to pass on the information to the class. The Ho’olaule`a lead will also assist in following up with volunteers for the various grade level responsibilities.
In addition to the 2 Class Co-Representatives, we’d also like to open up the opportunity for our families to be a part of the planning and providing input on the various sub-committees like our General membership meetings, Scholastic Book Fair and School store volunteers to name a few. Families on the sub-committees allows our families to assist and be a part of PTO without being a member of the Board of Directors and has no voting responsibilities for major decisions but simply ideas & input.
Your keiki tuition includes a minimal fee toward your PTO and every single family is a member of PTO. Your keiki will have requested funds directly or indirectly by way of academic programs, athletics or even travel or lodging for a variety of excursions. Get to know other parents within your grade level and stay on top of K-12 events! Learn more about PTO and stay involved by volunteering!!
